Tour de France 2015

The opening of the Tour de France 2015 took place in Utrecht, the city where the University of Arts Utrecht is also located. The assignment was to make a design from used bicycle parts.
My inspiration was the envisioning of a strong woman, feminin but willing to go the extra mile in order to win. The end result comprises the use of spokes from 25 bicycle wheels, drilling over 800 holes in aluminium rims that sustained the whole contruction covered by bicycle tires and inner tubes.
