Mussels

Create a design out of food that will sustain for at least six months. During the seek for the right material I have been experimenting with sea weed, rice, dried fungus, tea bags, pasta’s, oranges and many more.
Working with mussels came out to be the most interesting in the end. The texture is incredible and fascinating. The material looks solid but is proven to be very fragile at the same time. After exploring several techniques, an object has been created that can be worn on different places of the human body
